Willowgrove provides Day Rentals & Weekend Retreat space minutes from Toronto in the Great Outdoors

Located between Markham and Stouffville, Willowgrove's scenic 100-acre property offers an outdoor adventure close to home. Only 45 minutes outside of Toronto, our crystal clear streams, old growth forests, and rolling hills make it an excellent location for any day visits or weekend retreats. For over 20 years we have had the privilege of hosting a wide variety of community groups, churches, weddings, community birthday parties, photography shoots and various family functions.

Facilities Included with Your Rental

Rentals include a wide variety of resources and programming to accommodate your group. Your group will be provided with a host to help familiarize you with the property and will remain on call for the duration of your stay. You'll have the use of several spaces for your programming or meeting and various unique activities to keep you busy, including:

The Glenbrook Dining Hall
    Tranquil creek-side location, with a large patio, outdoor fire pit, nearby play ground, and BBQ. With an attached kitchen, wood floors, fireplace, and a picturesque view it is perfect for banquets, meetings or family gatherings. Tables and chairs available to seat approx. 90 people.

Kitchen

    Attached to the Dining Hall, the kitchen offers plenty of refrigeration and freezer space, a stove top oven, industrial sized grill, storage areas, ample counter space and all water is treated on site to meet Ministry standards. *Please note that Willowgrove does not provide meals but can connect you with local catering services.
Washroom and Change Room Facilities
    A large heated building with front foyer, water fountain, and Men’s & Women’s toilet facilities. Please Note: There are no showers for overnight groups.
Bunks
    We have several heated buildings equipped with bunk beds mattresses, and hydro where your group can spend the night. Each building has direct access to washrooms.
Meeting Spaces
    Equipped with chalk boards, projector screens, and tables to seat approx. 60 people. These portables can also be used for workshops, teaching spaces, and as indoor sleeping quarters for overnight groups.
Woodlot
    Explore our 7 acres of woodlot and sugar bush - perfect for nature hikes or outdoor activities. If you visit during the early spring be sure to keep your eyes open for Maple Syrup buckets collecting sap for the sugar shack.
Hayloft
    Unique haymow playgrounds which are lined with straw and fitted with slides, tire swings and playground accessories. Ideal for birthday parties the space can accommodate approx. 30 children.
Pioneer Room
    Located in refurbished barn rooms under the Hayloft, these small classrooms provide a rustic setting that is perfect for craft activities or small sessions. Tables and chairs seat approx. 25.
Games Room
    A large activity room next to the Pioneer rooms equipped with a variety of unique games: carpet ball, team-work labyrinth, foosball and table hockey, and giant Jenga.
Corn Maze
    A natural maze through the corn field with several paths and exits. Available from August to October it is a fun and challenging activity for any age.
Pavilion
    A large open-air, covered pavilion which can seat up to 120 people on picnic tables. Perfect for family reunions, outdoor services, picnics or barbeques. Perfect location next to the Sports Pad and with easy access to electrical outlets and water.
Sports Pad
    A paved sports area next to the Pavilion equipped with basketball and hockey nets. Located directly beside a soccer field and manicured baseball diamond. There is also beach volleyball available on site as well.
Camp Fire Pits
    With over four fire pits to choose from you group can warm up, enjoy a cook out, or wrap up their evening with a good ‘ol fashioned sing-a-long next a roaring fire. Benches and firewood are provided and additional firewood is available for purchase.
