The 2013 season is now over, but won't be soon forgotten. Friendships were made, lessons were learned, and enough tetherball was played to last two lifetimes. So to every single camper, parent, staff member, and volunteer who helped make the summer the best it could be - Thank You!
The best description of Fraser Lake overnight camp comes from campers who return year after year: “Camp was awesome, next year I want to come for two weeks”, “the counselors were fantastic - I can't wait to be one someday”, and “I loved it and can't wait to come back!” Parents appreciate that the camp program is delivered on a 260-acre site that is the perfect setting for life lessons based on Christian values that help nurture the physical, spiritual, social and emotional growth of their children.
Typical is this comment from a parent of a child who returned for a second year: “He grew so much. Thank you Fraser Lake!” Another parent said her daughter “had the best week of her life.” A third said about her son, "I don't think he knows how camp changes him but I can attest that he always comes back from Fraser happier, enthusiastic and much more cooperative at home!"
Your son or daughter can expect a week of traditional overnight camping activities that are equal parts fun, adventure and learning. What they will remember is the friendships that last a lifetime and feeling like camp is a second home.
Located half way between Toronto and Ottawa, Fraser Lake Overnight Camp is a perfect blend of nature, recreation and traditional camp activities that includes a planted Red Pine forest, over a thousand feet of shoreline on a deep and clean lake, a sugar bush, spacious green fields, several hiking and biking trails, a 36 foot climbing tower, outdoor basketball and beach volleyball courts, a swamp, and more.
“We offer a great overnight camping experience that is far enough from the city to have clean air and a million stars out at night, but close enough to 'town' to not feel isolated” says Eric Musselman. “Once you step onto the property, you'll realize why no one wants to leave.”
Campers from the age of 7 to 14 enjoy waterfront activities like swimming, canoeing and kayaking, as well as arts activities such as drama, music, and visual arts. Campers can also enjoy nature based programs, biking, a variety of sports and much more. What they will remember is the friendships that begin at Fraser and last a lifetime.
We offer bussing transportation to and from camp directly to our Stouffville facility for a small fee.
