Fraser Lake Camp Director:

Jason McDowell

Community has always been a central part of my life. I grew up in the Markham/Stouffville Mennonite community and spent many summers of my childhood and young adulthood at Fraser Lake Camp. I have held a variety of positions in the corporate world, and feel privileged to be bringing my organizational skills and community-building skills together in this position as Camp Director.

I completed a BSc. In Physics at the University of Waterloo, which makes identifying constellations to campers a piece of cake. I have been a Technical Researcher, a Project Manager and a Senior Project Engineer in Medical Installations.

I have always remained involved in youth programming; volunteering as a youth sponsor for local area church youth groups, including accompanying them on Mennonite Disaster Relief Services trips.

I have a long history with Fraser Lake Camp; my parents met at camp, and my grandfather founded the camp in 1955. I am grateful to participate in the evolution of Fraser Lake Camp.
