Discover why our staff are the most important part of the Fraser Lake Overnight Camp experience

Ask our campers what they like best about Fraser Lake Camp and it won’t be long before you hear the names of a counsellor or staff member. That’s no surprise because they are the most important part of our program.

Many of our counselors and staff members have a long-standing history at Fraser that involved coming up through the ranks as campers in the regular program and then being participants in the leadership programs for high school youth: Leaders-In-Training, Counsellors-In-Training and the Volunteer Program.

All of our staff have the following things in common:

    - they went through an interview process, obtained a clear police check and take part in special training before and during camp
    - they have a genuine interest in helping children. Many camp staff end up in the teaching profession
    - they understand the importance of not just delivering our programs, but also promoting the life lessons based on Christian values that help nurture the physical, spiritual, social and emotional growth of every camper
    - they are committed to adhering to our code of conduct

Miss the farm? During COVID-19, Willowgrove is doing our part to minimize the spread of novel COVID-19 by severely reducing our programming. However, we are excited to offer a brand new Family Camp Rental program that meets Public Health's recommendations and allows for cohorts/families/bubbles to join us on-site. Miss camp? As both Willowgrove Day Camp's and Fraser Lake Camp's summer programs have been suspended for 2020 we will be offering a one-of-a-kind, daily Camp@Home program in order to provide children with a supervised camp community experience this summer. Click the link for details.
